It's Christmas!!

It's nearly Christmas and Soft Arrows are getting festive. We've recorded a special cover of Elvis classic 'Blue Christmas' which is being released as part of OIB Records "Krampus Is Coming vol 3" compilation, which comes in the form of a Christmas jumper with USB stick. No kidding. Order it HERE.

We're also playing the launch party for the comp at The Green Doors Store in Brigthon on December 22nd. The show is FREE and features our good buddies Rooks and Jimi Swells annd a bunch of other great bands and DJs. We're planning on throwing a Christmas covers section into our set to make it extra special.

the future

Hello the internet, we have a few things to tell you.

1) We just got out of practise, preping ourselves for two shows we are playing next week, which (unless something awesome pops up) will be our last shows until after the summer, so it'd be really nice if people came to them. The dates are:

Mon. 30th May -> The Prince Albert -> Brighton
w/ Die! Die! Die!, Negative Pegasus, Eager Teeth
WE ARE ON AT 8.45pm

Thur. 2nd June -> The Brixton Windmill -> London
w/ Ezra Furaman & The Harpoons, The Rifle Volunteer
WE ARE ON AT 8.30pm

2) We've been writting a LOT and are very excited about what is coming out. We'll be airing a bunch of new stuff at these shows and plan to put all these new tracks to good use some time soon in the furture.

3) We will be making our existing recordings available as a download EP soon, but first we will be making some nice artwork, extra downloadable bits, mastering it, etc... more news on that soon.

So that's it for now. See ya soon. x

Our next show's not until May 30th so we're gonna get down to some serious writing and hopefully some recording. We hope to show you what we've been getting up to very soon.

We also have a couple of bits of news you can put in your diary:

1) We've a new Brighton show confirmed for May 30th at The Prince Albert supporting Die! Die! Die!. Our great pals Negative Pegasus are also on the bill which is going to be extra fun as they are something special. Listen to them. Tickets are only £5 too!

2) Tom will be DJing in London at Dark Party at The Old Blue Last on Saturday 26th March. It's free in the bar downstairs. Expect him to spin some Ghostface Killah and Bruce Springsteen.

the loss of gig virginity

Last night we went and did it... our first show. It felt good.

Last night Soft Arrows played their first show at The Green Door Store with the fantastic Former Ghosts and we were buzzing with a lot of excitment and a lot of nerves. For both of us this was a big thing getting out on a stage and doing this stuff we do. It was new and scary but once it starts it's on and you keep going and hope for the best. The best thing is that it all went great, the fuck ups were few and we were both super stoked to finally have played a show! 9 songs - 25 minutes. Can't wait for the next one!!!!!

We will be working on new jams next week and hope to record new stuff very soon. Until then, thanks to everyone involved in last night and for all the support. See you soon.
